Keen to apply for jobs or speak to someone on upskilling and developing your career opportunities? Join us for the Jobs and Skills Fair at the Lifelong Learning Institute on 18-19 May to attend talks and workshops to discover in-demand and critical core skills, job interviews and discover training opportunities to help you move ahead in your career!

This event is co-organised by Lifelong Learning Institute, South East Community Development Council, Yayasan MENDAKI, and NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute. 

Admission is free and registration is required.

Provide assistance to non-executive jobseekers who are uncertain where the jobs are and how to apply to jobs online. The trainer will also walk through the different platforms interviewers may use to conduct virtual interviews. Hands-on practice for jobseekers to be more confident in handling online interviews.

3. Acquire the Essential People Skills Needed in This Digital Age

 4. Digital Banking & Mobile e-Payment

The target groups for this workshop are learners of all ages. 

At the end of this module, learners will be able to download and access an internet banking application, learn to transfer money via Internet banking transfer and PayNow, pay bills online and review eStatements. 

They will also learn about other features in Internet banking such as scanning QR codes to make payment, features of PayNow, and important safety best practices when using Internet banking applications. 

The learners will also learn about common Internet banking scams to better protect themselves from cybercrime.

5. Trend Sharing – The Future of Work

The target group for this workshop are learners who are interested in digital trends at the workplace. 

At the end of the workshop, learners will be aware of the importance of digitalisation at the workplace and the types of jobs in the future economy. 

They will also learn about common collaboration tools in the workplace, and how data and information can be utilised.

The learners will also learn about the importance of cybersecurity and be mindful of the potential threats.

10. Career in Environment Service Sector – Embracing opportunities created by COVID-19 pandemic

The Environmental Services (ES) industry comprises the Cleaning, Waste Management and Pest Management sub-sectors made up of more than 1,700 establishments and includes a mix of both international and local enterprises. A majority of the establishments in the ES Industry are small and medium-sized enterprises. The industry is seeing a higher demand for skilled workers, from general cleaners, to engineers and specialists in waste collection, recycling processes and waste treatment, as well as environmental health and safety professionals.
