The Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS) is a Continuing Education & Training (CET) institute of Nanyang Polytechnic. Established in January 2006 as the first CET Institute in Singapore, SIRS’ excellent performance and track record has since won the conferment of the National CET Institute status, the pinnacle status for CET centres.

TRAINING FACILITIES @ SIRS

Located conveniently at the Lifelong Learning Institute next to Paya Lebar MRT, our campus is equipped with training labs, simulated rooms, and well-furnished classrooms to provide you with practical training in a conducive learning environment. Training may also be conducted at the client’s premises or any well-appointed facilities.

PROGRAMMES & SERVICES @ SIRS

Since April 2016, SIRS was appointed by SkillsFuture Singapore as the Anchor Provider for the Retail Industry. SIRS is also the Programme Manager for various national programmes, including the Professional Conversion Programmes (PCPs), Work-Study Programmes, Work-Study Certificate (Bootcamp for Digital Marketing & Branding), Redeployment PCP and the SGUnited Skills (SGUS) Programme.

SIRS provides a quality, market-driven and comprehensive spectrum of Retail programmes and solutions to support and prepare both enterprises and the workforce for the evolving challenges in the marketplace. These programmes include the Workforce Skills Qualifications suite, Executive Programmes, Masterclasses, Workshops, Seminars and Conferences. SIRS also aligns its solutions to the Retail Sectoral Manpower Plan and the Retail Industry Transformation Map to best aid companies in their drive to grow via innovation and internationalisation, improve productivity with technology, and build a future-ready and productive workforce.

To best support our learners and corporate clients, SIRS’ Career Services Centre provides complimentary career advisory and placement services to assist job-seeking participants in gaining employment in the industry, and simultaneously support retailers’ recruitment needs.
